Luxury Interior Design Trends
That Are Here To Stay
Now that we are in the final months of the year, let’s talk about some contemporary luxury design trends we see lasting. In this past year, we have seen many modern interiors shift from minimalism to more of a blend – where timeless elegance meets contemporary flair. Imagine stepping into a room where every element tells a story, where each piece is a brushstroke on the canvas of your personal aesthetic. At our design studio, we are not about embracing trends; we’re making them your own, weaving them into your space..
..in ways that resonate authentically.
01. Old Meets New
Let’s be real: the majority of homes used to be made better. Nowadays, homes are pumped out as fast and cheaply as possible. This has resulted in a desire to keep those charming and characteristic details from older homes, including moldings, real wood floors, solid wood counters, and rich paint colors. As contemporary interior designers, we work to fuse the old with the new. We suggest pairing some of those cute details, like moldings, with contemporary updates, such as furniture pieces or a new kitchen. This is not transitional design; we see it as using the historic bones of a home and adding a contemporary refresh without removing the classic detailing. We even will tie in a few vintage pieces, such as light fixtures or furniture, to allow the two worlds to live together in harmony.

02. Artisan Accents
In a world dominated by mass production, handcrafted touch has become even more coveted. Imagine a living space adorned with handwoven textiles, each thread a testament to the artisan’s skill and passion. Our favorite rug vendor works with artisans across the world that handloom or weave all their rugs. This allows us the opportunity for endless customization for our clients, ranging from colors to density. These details allow us to make each client’s home unreplicable. Incorporating this trend into your home means seeking out one-of-a-kind pieces that resonate with you. Perhaps it’s a handmade ceramic vase, its imperfections adding character, or a hand-carved wooden sculpture that serves as a focal point. These items don’t just decorate your space; they narrate a story of craftsmanship and authenticity.
03. Panel Ready Appliances
In the world of contemporary design, panel ready appliances are the chameleons of the kitchen, seamlessly blending into their surroundings. These appliances, designed to be fitted with custom cabinetry fronts, offer a sleek, cohesive look that makes your kitchen feel less like a collection of disparate parts and more like a harmonious whole. Imagine opening your dishwasher, only to reveal it hidden behind a cabinet door that matches your kitchen’s aesthetic perfectly—
— it’s like unveiling a secret passageway in a storybook.
By incorporating panel ready appliances, you can elevate the visual appeal of your home, creating an upscale, tailored environment that speaks volumes about your attention to detail and design savvy. Whether you’re a seasoned interior designer or a homeowner with a passion for style, embracing these versatile appliances can transform your space into a sanctuary of elegance and sophistication.
04. Natural Stone
If you have been on Pinterest these days, you most likely have seen the takeover of statement stones—bold natural stones whose distinct and unique veining is the focal point of the space. We have seen entire bathrooms made of stone (including the vanity), which is a look we truly love since nature’s influence on interior design is more profound than ever and most luxury designers love using natural materials. If you want your home to feel more high-end, you are going to want to opt for a natural stone, like marble or quartzite, over manmade stones, like quartz. There are so many options, so to keep it upscale, we propose avoiding commonly used stones like Carrara (which, don’t get us wrong, has a place!) but instead swapping for a bolder stone, particularly for powders and showers.
05. Integrated + Concealed Tech
In a world where technology is ever-present, integrating it seamlessly into our living spaces is essential. However, luxury design in 2024 is about doing so with elegance and subtlety. Imagine a home where smart devices are concealed within sleek, stylish furniture and where technology enhances rather than distracts. To personalize this trend, focus on integrating tech that simplifies and elevates your daily routine. Perhaps it’s motorized drapery that allows sunlight to flood your room in the morning without getting out of bed, or a hidden sound system that fills your home with your favorite music, creating an atmosphere of serene sophistication.
Making It Your OWN
Ultimately, the beauty of luxury design lies in its ability to reflect your individuality. Trends are merely a starting point—an inspiration that you can mold and shape to suit your unique tastes and lifestyle. As you explore these 2024 interior design trends, remember to infuse each element with your personal touch. Whether it’s a cherished piece of art, a custom-made furniture item, or a design element that speaks to your soul, the goal is to create a space that is undeniably yours.

So, embark on this creative journey with confidence and joy. After all, the true essence of luxury is found in spaces that feel not just lived in, but loved in. Here’s to a year of designing with intention and heart, crafting environments that are as unique and extraordinary as you are.
